We are delighted to invite clubs to attend our inaugural SMS Club Development Day on Sunday 26 November.
The day, which will be run from Blair Drummond Community Hall, intends to provide MSA and SACU clubs with a relaxed and informal environment to share best practice and hear about new club development theories.
A variety of speakers will present topics and case studies – such as ‘promoting a club in a digital age’ and ‘coaching’ - which we believe to be of current importance and relevance to motorsport clubs. The day will involve some group exercises to promote discussion on the topics in hand and it will also involve plenty of opportunity for networking in between presentation topics. In addition, we are intending to launch our application process for 2018 club support shortly before the event and there will be a presentation on this and opportunity to discuss with the team.
The day will start at 10:00 for a 10:30 start and will be finished by 16:00; a full event timetable can be made available upon request.
All Scottish MSA and SACU clubs are invited to this event, although initially we would like to cap attendance to two delegates per club. Depending on uptake, we may be able to accommodate more from each club closer to the time, so if you would like to send more delegates, please make me aware of this.
The event is free to attend and lunch will be provided as will tea and coffee throughout the day.
To help us with planning, we’d appreciate it if clubs could confirm attendance with us before Friday 10th November. We’ll confirm final instructions and directions to confirmed attendees closer to the event.
Please confirm names of those attending from your club via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
